The Heritage Lottery Fund uses money raised by the National Lottery to safeguard and enhance the heritage of buildings, objects and the environment, which have been important in the formation of the character and identity of The United Kingdom. The Heritage Lottery Fund helped to fund the The Tower of Hallbar project.

The Association of Preservation Trusts is the representative body for building preservation trusts throughout the UK (including The Vivat Trust). It provides information and advice through newsletters and seminars and by direct contact with trusts. Where it cannot help directly, it signposts to other sources of advice. It also represents the views and needs of member trusts to government and statutory agencies.

The Architectural Heritage Fund is a registered charity which helps to repair and give new life to historic buildings of every kind throughout the United Kingdom. Since 1976, it has loaned over £30m to about 400 projects, and helped many others with grants and advice.

The Twentieth Century Society exists to safeguard the heritage of Britain's twentieth century architecture and design. Membership opportunities available.

The Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings fights to save old buildings from decay, demolition and damage. Membership opportunities available.

The Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland promotes the study and protection of Scotland's architecture.

Ancient Monuments Society is responsible for the study and conservation of ancient monuments and historic buildings. Membership opportunities available.

The Friends of Friendless Churches looks after churches that would otherwise have faced demolition. Membership opportunities available.

The Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland promotes the study and protection of Scotland's architecture.

The Peak District National Park Authority is situated in the heart of England, at the southern end of the Pennine hills between Sheffield and Manchester. It was the first National Park to be set up in Britain in 1951 and covers parts of six counties and it owns North Lees Hall.

The Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire restored Mill Hill Cottage in 1999. The Trust was established in 1991 to advance the understanding, knowledge and appreciation of the heritage of Lincolnshire, and also rescues threatened buildings of historic or architectural interest in the county.

The Penrhos Trust rescues old farm buildings that are in danger of being lost and revives them with ecological and organic food businesses. The Trust also runs seminars, meetings, special events and courses to help teach and promote the benefits of traditional farming and food production.

Heritage Open Days, run by The Civic Trust, co-ordinate a four day event in September when a huge range of buildings, many usually closed to the public, open their doors for free. Vivat usually opens several of its buildings in association with this event.
